I haven’t been very loyal to my blog lately but I’ve been wrapping up things with my debut novel, The Before Now and After Then, which will be released on July 29th by Pen Name Publishing(Go Check them out and see my author page!) I’ve been trying to find other young adult writers to connect with on Twitter and GoodReads and am astonished to find how many of them have decided against having any kind of social media outlet. Being that I’m obsessed with anything social, I can be found on all of it: Facebook(Not my favorite anymore), Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Goodreads, Instagram, LinkedIn(Don’t see the point) and…YouTube. I have to say my favorites are Tumblr and Goodreads, but that’s besides the point.
The point is that I have now found myself part of this interesting community of young adult writers, who’s work, especially that of John Green and David Levithan, I have been a fan of for years. My book may be a flop and everyone may hate it, but I hope not, because I’m already working on my second book due out next winter and that would be terrible for business. Anyway, I’ve been trying to find some new authors to fall in love with since I’ve already read everything by my favorites. I have been reading and listening(yes, I’m now addicted to Audible as well!) to some of the most amazing writers of young adult fiction. These books have affected me so profoundly and I don’t have anyone to talk to about them who cares! My husband is more of the Chelsea Handler genre of books. He’ll probably hate mine! (You can see him in the background of my picture. Isn’t he cute! Check out our celebrity interview site raannt!)
Anyway, I thought about doing reviews of these books on my YouTube channel or writing reviews on here. What do you think? Would anyone care? Hello? Are you there God it’s me Margaret. (If you don’t get the reference, this is probably not a blog post for you.)
Let me know and stay tuned for teasers and a synopsis of my book very soon!
