I will never pray or do voodoo for a blizzard again! Instead of a magical blizzard, we got snowed in, lost power and lost internet and cable. I like to think of myself as a resourceful moon child but I was literally to death that the subscription of internet on my iPad would run out and leave me entirely without entertainment. So please ignore all previous posts.
As far as the weather, I love the sun, the beach, the pool, eating salads and cheeseburgers after being at the beach and then napping to the sound of the ocean. I love driving around at night with the roof down and singing songs that only seem appropriate in the summer. I like shorts and flip flops, tee shirts and board shorts. And as far as the other stuff, screw Totino’s pizzas and graham crackers with frosting, I like being served in a restaurant. Spending all day in bed with my husband has not ensued board games, but has made us grumpy. We were not passionate, romantic beings, especially since neither of us had taken a shower in three days as a result of no electricity. Maybe our level of intimacy would be different in a hurricane.
And so it is with that that I would like to officially bid adieu to Snowpocolypse 2014 and welcome in the hurricane and monsoon season.
Unfortunately, with a predicted 4 inches of snow tonight and every school in the city closed tomorrow, I think this is probably just the beginning of winter!
